The University of Kerala, formerly known as the University of Travancore, was established in 1937 and is one of the oldest universities in India. It founded its Distance/Online wing (Centre for Distance and Online Education) in the year 1976. The School is located at the Kariavattom Campus, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Through its Distance/Online wing, this university offers more than 7 courses at both Undergraduate and postgraduate levels.The University of Kerala Distance education is approved by both the UGC-DEB (University Grants Commission – Distance Education Bureau) and the UGC (University Grants Commission). BBA

The Bachelor of Business Administration is an undergraduate degree that offers foundational knowledge in Business Administration, covering subjects such as Finance, Marketing, etc.

The Bachelor of Commerce course focuses on subjects related to Commerce, such as Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Economics, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Kerala Distance/Online Admission

CourseEligibility Criteria
BASuccessfully passing the Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent.
BComA Pass in the Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University. Non-Commerce group should
have at least 45% of the aggregate marks.
BCAHigher Secondary Examination of the State or an Application Examination accepted by the University as equivalent, with (BCA) Mathematics as one of the optional subjects.
BBAClass 12th or equivalent with not less than 45% marks in aggregate. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and other eligible communities shall be given relaxation as per the University rules.
BLISA Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kerala, or a degree from any other university with a minimum of 40% Marks. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and other backward communities will be eligible for a concession of 5% and 3%, respectively.
MAA graduation degree with at least 4.5 CCPA in relevant subjects.
MComA Bachelor’s degree in commerce with at least 4.5 CCPA.
MScA Degree course with a minimum of 3 years duration after 10+2 in a relevant subject with at least 5 CCPA.
MLISA Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Kerala, or a BLISc degree from any other university recognised as equivalent thereto.
MBACandidates must have passed the BA/BSc/BCom degree examination of the University of Kerala or one recognized by the University as being equivalent thereto, with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
